In this tutorial, we'll gonna learn to create an eyes that is commonly used in characters. This eyes later can be applied to any kind of character drawing or animals, may be not all but you know the basics that just create your own later on.
Difficulty : Beginner - Intermediate
Time : 30 minutes
First we need to create a circle with Ellips tool. Click Ellips tool than Shift+drag to get exactly circle shape.
or you also can click on Ellips Tool than click anywhere at the art board to manually put circle's size you want. In this case I create 130 x 130 px circle.
After that put Radial Gradient color. you can play with the color you want, but the idea is to make the outer circle darker than the center. so we can create some 3D look.
Now select the previous circle. Copy it (Ctrl+C) and than paste it on top (Ctrl+F). Now rezize the cirle smaller that the previous one. This is the color of your character eyes, you can play with the color as you like. With the same method, put another circle on top of the last one. We'll create a dark section of the eyes.
Now your circle need some shine effect. This is easy to do just put some white circle on top of all. After that you'll get a nice shine eye.
We of course need two eye. So group all those drawings you made, than copy > paste than reflect. To get a nice balance eyes.
Now its finished. You have eyes which you can use for your characters. Below is some example how to use it.
Its easy right? Have fun!
